Steve makes his home just 30 minutes away from the South Fork of The Snake and guides for The Lodge at Palisades Creek in beautiful Victor, Idaho. His guiding career spans 21 years and dozens of rivers and lakes throughout the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Former head guide at Slide Inn on the Madison River, his passion for streamers and stripping big junk is heavily influenced by the man who literally wrote the book on them, Kelly Galloup. During the fall, you’ll find him on the Clearwater River spey casting for steelhead. He sees himself as a Guide, Philosopher, and Master Knot Untangling Technician. When not fishing or guiding Steve enjoys backcountry skiing, drinking cheap red wine, and lying (don’t all fishing guides!)
